it just might happen at midnite tonite

we'll see if my source is correct but there is a faint wiff of a sockeye opening commencing tonite at midnite....... stay tuned.

we should just call the sockeye posts..... "as the carrot dangles"...   ;D

Its over, they have already mixed with the late run. But if they open it to help some commerical boys keep there jobs, then will get a kick at it.

do we really want an opening at this point,just imagine the zoo thats going to be on the river fishing shoulder to shoulder,Personally i dont find that to be much fun or very relaxing,for me i will find other fishing alternatives.

For me it's time to hit the veddar with my 6wt for pinks and my drift rod for the early coho. Changed my reels over this morning to mono so that's the end of the fraser for me.besides I do not own a pair of boxing gloves and that is exactly what you will need out there because every one is iching for the soxs.

Only try the 6wt for pinks. Haven't got one yet but one day I may just get lucky. Hopefully that luck will change this weekend.

it gets better..... the rumour mill is really burnin now. Apparently.... leaked from a DFO source (or two) on down to folks in the wholesale side of the industry, we are going to be open from tomorrow ( friday at latest) through till sunday, (monday at latest)


I see the carrot..... dangling mere inches from my lips..... i take a step, the carrot swings closer... oh oh darn i just can't quite reach it.......
