Seymour River mouth August 8th
« on: August 08, 2005, 10:01:36 PM »

went there again today, fished from 6 to 9 pm, it was very slow. a nice 6lbs pink was landed by someone on the other side of the river, other than that, nobody caught nothing :-\. tide was low, didn't see any jumper at all, totally different from what i saw yesterday.

well hope that when times goes by it gets better... there is that guy walking around saying that the water is to warm there... he claims to have fished it in the past and says that this year is bad cause the water is to warm.... mind you he never has his rod and he just brings his dog there so how would he know..

I fished the morning couple of days ago. A well known local fisherman caught 2 on a spoon. That was it for action.

I heard rumours a couple years ago that the cap hatchery was going to be cutting back on coho production. Could this be true maybe? if so it would sure explain alot.

Two years ago there were tons of pinks at the Seymour. Haven't seen too many jumping or caught this year. Any theories ?
