old tin canner

has anyone ever used an old tin canner.  i recently acquired one and i am interested in trying it out.  if anyone has any tips please let me know (like where to get tin cans)

Why not use glass jars ? You can reuse them again.

I hope you didn't pay too much.  I did a bit of looking around and can't find anything.  It's a shame though, the novelty of such a thing would be tremendous!  Where the heck did you get it?  If you do figure out something be sure to post it, alright?

i got the tin canner from a friends grandma who used to work in the cannery.  i thought it would be cool to can some fish in the tin canner, make some labels and give away as gifts.

when you do can the fish make sure it seals tightly or there will be contamination inside and you will not know until you open it. The canner machine is called a seamer.
