Whonnock Lake April 24th
« on: April 24, 2005, 03:41:28 PM »

Had a good day catching Crappies at Whonnock yesterday. The water has warmed up (74 DF) so they are moving into spawning mode, look for them along the shoreline in the thickets. Lots of Chironomide and Caddis coming off the water. Tried Bucktail, Clouser's and Tied Down Minnows, Baggy Shrimp, Tomb Thumb, Halfback, Elk Hair Caddis, Chironomid, and Bloodworm, before  before I started hitting them on a Zulu. Nothing real big but good numbers, LOL.

I have been trying to catch those crappy for the last three trips out there.  I can see them surfacing but they don't bite my bait.  I guess this warm weather has made them more aggressive.  Also , how big were the crappie.
