Today I fished the vedder, I got to the Lickman road area at about 6am to be exact. Anyways, I fished the "meathole" from the campground side, in amongst the brush. Within the first hour I lost one steely of about five pounds, I could not tell whether if it was hatchery or wild. After that, I moved up a spot and fished there for a while to no avail, then I walked down river to try a few spots and nothing came of it, so I decided to go back up to the spot where I had lost my first steely today and guess what, I landed and released another steely of about 8 pounds, it put up a great fight. First, it ran up river, then down and once I finally got it to shore it went for the log which was under the water, fortunately I was able to turn it around before it was too late

. After, I moved up one spot because I saw a steely rise a few times and a few minutes in that spot and I landed and released a steelhead of about 6 pounds. Oh I almost forgot to mention, I also found a drennan float in the water right by my feet, it was like totally brand new.

I fished until 2 pm but most of the action occurred in the morning 7 to 10am. After that it was really slow. All in all it was a very good day and the weather wasn't bad either, just a little chilly. So, today I hooked three steely's and landed and released two wild one's, pretty good, I would have liked a hatchery steelhead but I can't complain after a day of steelheading like this one. In addition, all of my fish were caught on ghost shrimp, I tried other baits but they did not seem to work. I have some pictures too

However, I have to wait for Rodney.
