Finally, I had a chance to get out today after three weeks of non-stopping work. I thought my work load would go down tremendously after Tradex but it didn't seem so. In fact, i think it actually increased!

Anyways, I met up with Lew and Terry around 10am around the lower river.
Water height and colour were ideal, I couldn't ask for better condition really. After about ten casts, Lew was into a pretty nice sized fish. This fish stayed out in the strong flow for a long time before coming closer to shore. Just as Terry and I were running around and taking photos, the fish popped off.

We had a brief look at its tail before it said goodbye, it looked to be over 10lb for sure.
Lew in action. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful for me. The drifts were great, the roe bags were beautiful (Lew couldn't stop staring at them...), the angler was just not in shape.

In the area where we fished, we saw about six fish hooked in total.
While driving back to the spot from Cookies, I stopped by Keith Wilson Bridge to take a glance.

When anglers are that concentrated in one area, the fish are most likely spooked anyways.
I think you might even be able to spot steelhead king in that picture....

Good luck, weekend warriors.
