Presentation would be my most important factor.

From what Ive seen, yours is sweet!

Reading the water (location?) would be very important too.

Dont distress, you go days without anything, then one day you get em, and you did nothing different that day then you did the other days.

It's steelheading!!!

You'll get em!

That's funny - with 2 votes in, the poll clearly states that you have to be in the right place at the right time. Man that couldn't be any closer to the truth.

None of the above. In my opinion the number 1 factor is reading the water.

Hey now, I am not worried... No, really I'm not..... :o I mean... I looked pretty relaxed when you hooked 7 in 1.5 hours and I was 20 feet above you after all, missing the stack of fish.... ;)

And.... I sure looked even more relaxed yesterday when Itosh and his dad got into a bunch of dollies while I stayed dry. AND I sure looked very happy when itosh grabbed my rod at the end of the day and hooked one on his second drift.... ::)

Fishing with Rod is catching fish with Rod while he watches... :)

I'd have to say putting the time in on the water is the most inportant.

1) Then you'd know the locations.  :P

2) While finding them locations, you be able to notice if the bite turned on at certain times....first light, mid day... :D

3) You'd have time to try that new roe curing process, hardware and/or artifical setups.  8)

4) Tackle  ??? This is steelheading...not carp fishing.

5) You could always wait on CG's street and follow him to the river...there's bound to be at least 1 fish a day for you if you state, "I'm  buying at Cookies." ;D

Some people say location, location, location. Some say tackle is the most important. Other's say reading the water which is the same as location. I say just being out there is the most important, because if you're out there you learn everyday. My two pennies. :)
