Chehalis Nov 22
« on: November 23, 2004, 09:09:24 AM »

A good river to be on if you like the smell of dead dogs.

Brutal day from a catching perspective.  Buddy down from the interior got a freshish dog second cast that buried his float and gave five mins of excitement and took a little pressure off me to produce a fish.  Other then that, did not see a coho beyond a couple working their way towards the Heinz factory.

What a brutal year!!  Chum everywhere!! Other years we have done well on coho at this time of the year.  Maybe a good steelhead year coming up to compensate...

Never tried the Chehalis much for steelhead, but I think they come a bit later than the Vedder fish.

I recall a good day in March '99 hooking and losing two in my first three casts then nothing the rest of the day.

Buddy didnt even get his rod together.  ;D

Was fishing above the hatchery that day.
