Yeh, as far as I know, you can have 2 rods per person if you are alone in a boat on a lake.

Is this the same for the salt ? I hope not, I used to fish from piers with 3-4 lines in the water. (2 long distance rods, 1 short distance, and a handline) But I don't do it any more. But, I have seen guys trolling around 4 lines on riggers with one person in the boat.

you are allow 2 rods for 1 guy... As per the regs page 9 it says " it is unlawful to use more than one line, EXCEPT a person who is ALONE in a boat on a lake may angle with 2 lines "

There you go...

I saw my uncle fishing with 2 rods once.  It was illegal...and he worked for the fisheries department!

But if it's in a lake (not salt-water, not stream) in BC, and you're in a boat (not from shore), by yourself (not with someone else on board), THEN it's legal.

Are there any lawyers out there since I think I'm going to need to bring one of you along on all my future fishing trips!!
