Gravel removal on Vedder
« on: September 21, 2004, 07:54:16 PM »

I was at the Vedder this evening down near the rail bridge. The "restructuring" that was done to this part of the river due to the gravel removal is incredible. Not to mention, the road is in way worse shape than I have seen it before. I have only been fishing this part of the river for a little over 2 years now. Is this normal? I have never seen this type of desruction/ chnage to salmon habitat/ migration grounds allowed before.

You'll never run out of gravel, rivers keep building themselves up. Look at the Fraser, dikes have to be raised because the bottom of the river is constantly slowly rising.
