Something to do with the smaller stomach being able to expand more than a larger one if I translated that correctly.  Either that or it was the length of the intestines.  Apparently the "elite" group of eaters from Japan keep their secret quite well,  as their larger american counterparts are continually baffled as to how much these lil guys can eat.  I'll go with the black hole theory in their stomachs!
