Bar fishing opportunities Lower mainland/ Fraser Valley
« on: November 14, 2023, 02:25:11 PM »

I know the Fraser is closed, too bad! Is there any other rivers/sloughs where bar fishing is popular? Trying to find a place to take the grandkids.

Thanks in advance.

I believe it's closed to salmon fishing, not all fishing. You can bar fish with something like dew worms and get into non-salmon species. Sculpin, pikeminnow, flounder, whitefish etc depending on where you go.

Mill lake has been stocked and will fish ok with bottom rig setup. lots of beach access spots. Not sure how old the grandkids are but usually more there than the fishing that can keep young kids occupied.
