Fishy Sports Names
« on: August 17, 2004, 08:45:22 AM »

I'm a big sports fan, almost any sport I'll follow.  I also love fishing, of course, so when I see a fishy name in sports, I'll notice it.  Here are some that I've come across which are great names based on fish.  Do you know of any other fishy names?

New Westminster Salmonbellies, Lacrosse
Tim Salmon, Anaheim Angels
Steve Trout, pitcher
Catfish Hunter, Hall of Fame pitcher
Hiroshima Carp, Japanese pro baseball team
San Jose Sharks, NHL
Florida Marlins, MLB
Tampa Bay Devil Rays, MLB
