Yep that was a great video!  Brings back memories of when there were significant squid spawns on the WCVI.  Usually boats troll white hoochies but man what I wouldnt give to have that type of experience in the ocean!

Dave sure has a lot of " theories" when it comes to fishing and they are usually sound.  Fishing with him is money well spent.

interesting video. Kenny Myers told me years ago about doing exactly this same fishing in a bay in Ucluelet where the squid come in to spawn.
he also said that more often that not while jigging squid with a light spinning outfit, a big Chinook would grab his jig right after he hooked a squid. he said it really made for some interesting battles!
