Hey yall,
First of all happy new year!
I've always used and seen people use either maxima or seaguar flouro for their leaders for float fishing, which I trust very much. But at ~18$ for a 100 yrd spool it gets pretty hefty fast.
I've recently come across P-line's salmon/steelhead flouro, and their price is a few bucks more then the Seaguar which is more bang for your buck.
Do you guys have any experience with this line? Does it compare to seguar in abrasion resistance and knot strength?

Most times I usually use Maxima UG for leaders ..... I'll switch to the Seaguar Flouro when water is low/clear

I have used both the Seguar and Pline fluorocarbon.  I would have to give an edge to the Pline for added strength and better abrasion resistance.  The only draw back for me is that I can only find the Pline fluorocarbon in 20LB test and up at the tackle shop near me.  Nothing below 20LB, and that is the only reason why I am still using the Seguar.  Pline makes good line.  I really like their CXX monofilament, its good stuff.

The PLine flouro coated is trash, don't waste your money.  If you want flourocarbon, then go with real flourocarbon.  Coated lines are not like the real thing.

I've been using yellow label Seagr for two years. No complaints and no broken lines. Costs more but when it comes to fishing I dont spare a dime.
