Removing A Ghost Net From The Chilliwack River and River Cleanup
« on: December 09, 2018, 03:31:31 AM »

I discovered net this a few days ago and had the officers come while we did a river cleanup this week.I filmed this and a few other videos. Off course these nets can see fish and birds get caught in these nets, in this case if it broke free of the log jam that could indeed happen.

The Master and Buck taking stuff from the abandoned camp across the creek. Why are these camps allowed to start up is the question?

a group of long time Steelheaders spent 4.5 hours out on the river today cleaning up another big mess out on the river caused by a homeless camp.
I want to thank all that were involved for your efforts today!

Well done and thanks for finishing the job us Old Timers did not finish. Encouraging to see younger guys caring for our river too. Now time to all levels of government to stop these camps from getting set up and allowing them to leaving so much garbage behind for volunteers to deal with.
