Salmon Trolling Spoons
« on: November 13, 2018, 12:47:10 PM »

Found some of my fathers older trolling spoons and he said go to town. They are stamped McMahon in various sizes but all are either 50/50 silver/brass or full brass and copper. Was wondering if I could swing the smaller sizes on the river? They have rather large hooks attached but could switch them out. They look fishy. Thanks!

You may just want to sell them on the salt water sports fishing bc forum and go buy what you want for the river.

Some people are willing to pay up for old spoons if their good ones

"there are no rules in fishing" is a term I like to use when I see questions like this.
Use them, what can happen? You might just be surprised what happens under certain conditions.

I’ve caught coho and steelhead with a hildebrandt spoon under a float. But they were small spoons.

Why not. I've swung small spoons with success. Limited but it worked once or twice.
