Most of the streams are ditch low. However, chum were schooling there. I went to one small tributary, for the first time, I was the only one there with five hundred chum salmon around. Hooked one male and left. Not fun

Was up there not to long ago and was still dirty. That was at 2.7 on the graph. If it gets cold it should shape up.

Pray for rain. Squamish 2 weeks ago was pretty low and appeared devoid of fish in the areas I went - which had a fair few fish around this time last year.

This weekend was out at the Adams River to see the Sockeye that made it to their spawning grounds. Side channels are bone dry - main river is quite low. Way less fish around than the same weekend 4 years ago (and waaay more people around to see the action) - including at the Squilax bridge that had tons of dead Sockeye along the shore last time. Zero dead around the shoreline and and only one visible swimming around Little River. Hoping they are just running late...

No love for Roderick Haig Brown around there anymore - his park has been renamed to Tsútswecw (which for reasons unbeknownst to me means "Many rivers").

Sloughs off Hwy 7 are really, really low too.

Cloudy up river and not much fish, lots of fly guys flogging the water and not catching. Down lower below the river mouths better vis and plenty of fish on the tides

Sounds it’s like Yogi Berra said “ no one goes there anymore it’s too busy “

...What a stupid post.
With this one post elicited more comment/info & opinion in the past 24 hours  than you have in all the time you've posted here.

Perhaps there's a lesson for you there Pilgrim.

Sadly work  called and I'm unable to make it up tomorrow- maybe next week.

Word.
This picture was taken on Saturday, around noon.

Dogbreath, do you really think the few of us who enjoy the solitude look forward to the hoards of meatheads lining those beautiful banks? As of November 1st, the scenery above will be quite different, and not for the better, I'm afraid.

As soon as pacfic angler bangs the gong it will be loaded with people.  Untill then...

Squamish River Fishing Report
The Squamish is finally starting to drop down and clear up after last week’s blowout. Fish have been found throughout the system, including the Mamquam and Cheakamus. We’ve had reports of some good bulltrout fishing too from anglers who are targeting them with gear, flies, and beads. Once the chum start to show up the char and trout fishing should really pick up.

With the water still a bit high and coloured, larger presentations have been key. 8-10mm beads have been good, as well as bigger spoons such as K-Wobblers from Gibbs. At this time year when we are usually carrying 2 or more rods, one great accessory weblogs is the QuikShot from Fishpond. This simple device helps us carry and then easily access a second or third rod.

Remember, be safe and wade carefully,
