Normally beer is only related to fishing as the drink of choice after a day on the water but I see that Old Yale Brewing is having a launch party in Chilliwack this Saturday (July 21st). They're releasing their Head Shaker Honey Lager and have partnered with the Fraser River Sport Fishing Alliance, Sport Fishing Institute and Reel West Coast. The event is FREE to attend with $1 from each pint sold going back to those organizations.

Very nice initiative that I can get behind and support.

Damn, I'll be out of town next weekend and Old Yale Brewing is literally walking distance down the road from me.

Love their Off Trail Pale Ale, a favourite of mine.

Too bad I'm outta town for that week; they make one of the best stouts around (Sasquatch Stout won numerous awards). Good cause too. I spoke to one of their lovely reps at the Liquor store and she told me that b/c BC is going with a provincially determined beer brand stocking regime, they may no longer get shelf space for their excellent beer! Shame!

I like the Knotty Blonde Ale. Been a fan for a couple of yrs now. You can buy thier products in the local liquor stores here in the Wack.
