Vedder Oct. 17th
« on: October 17, 2017, 05:16:42 PM »

Well headed for the break in the weather and was a beautiful day out on the lower canal below the #1 south of Old Yale exit. Unfortunately the water was chocolate and a debris field.
Only a couple of guys out and no signs of fish from anyone i spoke with.
Decided to head up above the Vedder crossing and upon arriving there saw that the water was no better and quickly realized I had left my Rhino rod and Shimano 4000 Sidestab spinning reel leaning against a big boulder next to my truck back in the lower canal. Dang dog wasn't cooperating for getting in the truck and got distracted with him.
Shot back down there to see a guy who was leaving that had arrived just after I left and he said the only other person that was there was a guy on an orange electric scooter that was leaving just as he arrived. So must be a local Chlliwack guy if he's on an electric scooter. :)
Left a sign there with my name and number and appreciate anyone with any info that would help me retrieve this old favorite setup of mine.
Just bought a newer China version for the wife recently and just not the same unit as this old silky smooth one that I believe was made in Japan.
Thanks guys.

Put a post together in the lost and found section and I'll share it on all the social media platforms tonight, should be able to get it back...

You da man Rod!! :)
Just had a great chat with Bob and we'll be "hooking up" sometime when the river is fishable again. Turns out he has a tinny that needs someone with a vehicle to get it to the river as a moped seems to be his only mode of transport these days.
Could be the beginning of a beautiful fishing friendship! 8)
