Don Matthews died.
Battled cancer in the last few years.
One of my favourite CFL coaches. He had lots of coaching positions ( high schools etc ) before his long career in the pros.

Won 5 Grey Cups. Another 5 as assit. coach.
Lost 4.
Head coach with Lions Esks Roughriders Argos Alouettes Baltimore Stallions (when they were in the CFL)
He hated to lose. Great record; basically 2 W to 1 loss.
He really took the loss hard in the Grey Cup game between the Lions & Stallions. Louie P kicked the winning field goal. ( after a long pass which some say should of been ruled incomplete )
RIP.

One of my favourite Lions head coach. Love his aggressive offence and defence. Attack, attack, attack. Play to win instead of playing not to lose. Condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.
