Just in case anyone was planning to fish at Chilliwack Lake. The launch is closed due to high water and the gate on the access road down to the lake is locked. The notice on the white paper stapled to the pole, pretty much says the same as Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park website:

May 31, 2017: Beach and boat launch are submerged; boat launch is closed
The water level of Chilliwack Lake is high due to spring run-off, and the beach and boat launch are currently submerged and unusable. Vehicle access to the Chilliwack Lake boat launch is closed; foot traffic is permitted and visitors are able to carry canoes/kayaks to the lakeshore.

The closure notice is gone from the Provincial Park website but call the Park Operator (Sea to Sky Parks Services) 1-604-986-9371 or email info@seatoskyparks.com and they can confirm if the launch is open or not as the rain we had yesterday may have brought the lake levels up again.

The lake level held up through the rain.  Boat launch is open for the weekend

Can confirm.  I just returned from the weekend, camping at the Provincial site.  Boat launch was in service.

Most importantly.  How was the fishing?

I didn't have a boat but had a blast castching small rainbows from shore on my fly rod.  They were feeding on mayflies.

I was thinking of heading up to Chilliwack lake on Friday. Fish for the day. Can anyone confirm for sure that the launch is open? Would suck to drive all that way and have to drive back.
