He makes bushing only now. I go have one bearing model, It doesn't have silent retrieve. Still a very nice reel.

Hi lapa, do you mean when you have the clicker engaged? Because my Bearing Talisman has silent retrieve! Cheers

My doesn't. I wish it has. I really like it when fighting fish. When your reel was built?

Mine was built in 09 and my other 2 Talismans "bushing models" where built much earlier. All have silent retrieve. I do prefer bearings over bushings. Not much of a knocking fan while retrieving line on a well broken in bushing.

Yes all models that John makes are awesome! But the reel that gets the most time and Steelhead on the flows is still the silky smooth McDonald's that I fish!  8)

Just picked up a 4 inch talisman. Bearing  model to use on a 2106 can't wait to hook a squaretail with it.
It also has a click retrieve when the leaver is engaged, off topic used a kingfisher 4 3/8 bearing on a sage custom 3113mb for salmon season this  season and a very sweet set up . :o
