I have a 5" Kingfisher that's lefty but fish it righty and it irks me having the button on top

If that is an up locking reel seat then ya, i'd say it also looks like it was fished lefty.

Yes, it spooled to fish LH.  I actually like this way because I hold rod and control clicker by one hand.
