Sink tips for 5 wt

Hey guys just bought a 5wt switch for bulls.Any suggestions for sink tips in terms of casting ease that is also good for fishing.Also what length do you think would work best?

What line are you using?

I generally toss 8' of T8 or T11 for bulls with a 390g skagit on my 11' 5/6wt switch for bulls

It's a 360 g skagit so those should work similarly or should I go down to 7ft?

8- 10 ' of T8 or T11 should cast find with that set up, buy 10' tips and you can cut them back if you have difficulty. 10' Poly leaders work great too if you arent tossing huge patterns.

i built a 5wt Switch this past spring for Beach fishing, and have used it in the River for Coho.  I used the 10ft Airflo Salmon polyleader sinktips and they worked fine.  i can't remember offhand but think they have a sink rate or 4-5 ips, and are not that pricey.

A number of stores have a welding system and will make tips of material and length you desire. Or you can buy material and weld your own. Do a search on the net for welding fly line loops.

For example Michael and Young will custom make tips, in other words you just ask for x feet of T-w/e and for about $1 or so a foot (usually) they will do them up, and also weld the loops in.
