Where to take the kids fishing tomorrow - Saturday
« on: September 25, 2015, 03:08:29 PM »

Gonna take few kids out to the rivers tomorrow morning. Can anyone recommend a good place, that's kid/family friendly ( i know those ones tend to get busy)

Looked at a bunch of Rods' videos, but wasn't sure on spots.

Was thinking the mid vedder, and let them work on their cast/jigging for pinks or let them drift jigs

thanks

I would think the vedder will be busy this weekend. I was mid river last weekend in the rain and even after a bit of a hike, there were enough people that you had to keep an eye out above and below and synch your cast and retrieve.

Might be better in other spots, but it depends on your kids and their ages.

If it were me, I would probably head to one of the local lakes, a bunch were stocked this past week so fishing should be good.

Apparently Lafarge, Como, and Green Timbers (all have good shore access for families) lakes were recently planted with 1000, 500, and 1000 rainbow trout, respectively. About 10.9" long, or so, it appears. They might catch more trout than salmon, but not always.
