Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup, April 18th
« on: April 11, 2015, 11:44:10 AM »

One week to go today until our first cleanup on the Chilliwack Vedder River. Registration between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve. This is the 44th cleanup on the Chilliwack Vedder River since Rodney and I started the CVRCS way back in 2002

Dave and Mark are out today checking the parts of the river that needs attention, thanks guys.

Order placed today as well with Chilliwack Tim Hortons for the refreshments of coffee, juice and donuts, thanks George Shaw. Also thanks to Chilliwack Water Store for the water.

Hope for a good turnout of volunteers on April 18th including a number of people from this web site that fish this river. It always feels good to give a few hours back for the days of enjoyment this fishery gives to thousands of anglers each year.

Let’s give credit where it’s due .. Chris Gadsden keeps this Society together; his energy level seems limitless and that inspiration is what keeps us younger Directors going.
Time to accept some accolades my friend :)

Thanks Dave and for all the assigning you do at the cleanups as determining what areas to send the volunteers is always a difficult task.

Also the weights just came in from the Saturday cleanup and are as follows:
 - Garbage: 2,630kg
- Metal: 340kg

Well done all that pitched in and helped.
