Does anybody know when the youth fly fishing competions are or where I can find out about them?

This year's High School Fly Fishing Tournament is being held at the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery in Abbotsford on May 24th. I'll provide a contact info later once I get it.

If you are talking about the competitions which Todd Oishi has organized in the past, I'm not sure so I will get in to reply to you soon.

I am not sure if Todd has set dates for the youth provincial comp yet, but according to his schedule it will be early October. I have attached a link below.

Also you can always come out to the other competitions.  New anglers are always welcome, just email Todd at info@innovativeflyfisher.com as registration is required (events and registration info can be found here http://innovativeflyfisher.com/forum/index.php?board=9.0), or if you have any questions.  Currently the river competition is going and I am not sure if a spot is open or not atm.

There is also the loch style (lakes) championship that runs over the summer, and a few other smaller comps that are possibilities before the youth comp.   

There are also discussions on competition fishing techniques along with some everyday applications.

Hope to see you out at a comp this year, I might be volunteering in October at the youth comp pending timing.  Otherwise I plan on being at the loch style series and other comps in the summer.
