We could use one of those sales in Vancouver.
When are you putting it on? You should be able to get some Canucks players there to help draw the crowds. ;D ;D ;D

I went to the sale this morning - lots of items with a good sampling from all fishing disciplines and from various decades. I was surprised to see such a variety of reels made in BC. Lots of nice new locally built custom rods and of course, Mr. Campbell's reels were a good draw.

I made a few purchases that I've been keeping an eye open for. Picked up a nice old fishing creel that I'll be used for a decorative fly tying materials container - $20. Picked up a nice Loomis fish logo cap that actually fits my big block for $5. Got a new, unused J. Marttiinni fillet knife for $10 and a nice big patch of long hair polar bear for $10. I was really pleased with my purchase value and enjoyed the crowd and conversations with the table owners that tossing in $10 for a FVSS membership was a no-brainer. Actually, I wouldn't have minded seeing an Admission by Donation or a Thank you for attending Donation Box.

I strongly suggest that you attend next year's event if you're into some great opportunities at new, used and antique fishing item deals.

Kudo's to the organizers. Nicely done.

I thought it was a great show with some cool items there. Kudos to the organizers and vendors. Keep it going!
Here 2 panoramas that I took earlier this morning...hope it helps promote the event a bit. Can't wait for next year.

Enjoyed this morning out at the sale.
Everyone was in a great mood and the conversations were fantastic.
There were some relics, vintage, eclectic and some classics reels and tackle throughout.
Even bought myself Don's old classic 7wt Browning Silaflex with J.W. Young & Sons Condex Reel combo.
Thanks to all that made it possible
Cya next year.

There are always super deals at this event - I didn't sell much (one reel) but probably picked up a few future rod builds and purchased an awesome cedar plank carved sturgeon from local artisan Gordy Dewan.  Looks great on the wall along with 3 other fish replicas from him  :D
I saw near new Hardy fly reels for under $75, Sage drift rods for under $200, and a pontoon boat for $125 ...
I predict this tackle sale will take off next year, when people finally understand the super prices, for quality tackle, they are missing.

Much of this event was organized by my friend Chris Gadsden, who even sold a few floats ;) ...  I'm told he was offered big bucks for a few select Maple Leaf emblazoned plastic floats from the lone Leaf fan who attended but CG declined as he thought he might need them this steelhead season ...

Thanks for this, we ended up with 23 tables and used 2 rooms. There was a decrease in people attending, maybe because of the Remembrance Day weekend and nice weather.

Some vendors reported good sales and others not so much. I sold a lot of floats and bought an electric motor from Lew with my profits.

Not sure if the FVSS will continue this and I have chaired it for 4 years and may need a rest from doing it. Not a lot of work but it does take time and energy even though I get a lot of help from some directors again this year. Also some vendors came and helped setup Friday night and work on the Saturday including take down, this is a great help and thanks.

Sage drift rods for under $200

I didn't see these! Who had them for sale?

Anyhow the event was fun, I enjoyed meeting great people and buying more fishing gear I didn't need!

Dave, you did a fine job on those rods and I would recommend you to anybody in the market for a new custom build.

Looking forward to next years' event

Thanks for the kind words silver ghost :D  The Sage rods were being offered by the Stefanek brothers ... I'm not surprised you didn't see them as they sold almost immediately!

Thanks to all vendors and the buyers that attended the sale yesterday.
