Spawn Sac... That covers a lot of any issues with mono on spinning reels. I also agree on the Trilene XL ( the red label stuff). Between its stretch, limp ness, and durability, I have found it to be the best for casting. I find that when spooling spinning reels, reeling the line with the spool flat on on the floor with the label facing up usually ensures the line is coming off the spool correctly. Also, be sure to wind the line under tension... most important, esp. in the first few casts. Hope this helps.
