Tidal Fraser River, August 26th 2014
« on: August 26, 2014, 11:22:54 PM »

We went out with Lang's Fishing Adventures today to do a bit of sturgeon fishing in the Tidal Fraser River between Maple Ridge and Mission. The goal was to get the girls into some fish since they have never caught one before. The start was a bit slow and it took awhile to find some fish. Once Lang got it dialed in, we were into one bite after another. Second and third rods were going off while fish were being released. First fish was a warm up, only around 2 feet long. Second and third fish were 4 and 4.5 feet. After that we landed a bunch of 3 and 4 footers, before we ended the perfect day with a 6.5 footer.

Looks like a great time Rodney...got me thinking maybe I should take the wife and daughter on a guided sturgeon trip.

Thanks! :) Definitely worth bringing the female members in the family to experience this. The girls did a fantastic job during this trip by landing all the 3 to 5 footers on their own. For the 6.5 footer, the two took turns and landed it pretty fast too.

These are great shots indeed. That's the stuff you expect to see on tourism and guiding websites or brochures. You sure get the feeling of a fantastic time - it just makes you happy to see the pictures. Well done.
