Ambleside, July 13th 2014

Tried trolling in front of ambleside yesterday morning with no takers. Moved over in front of fisheries at the tide change and picked up a nice 25lbs spring trolling a hearing. Had another hit but it let go before I could set the hook. Probably a coho.

Sweet Brothersage!! Did you take any photos? What depth did you hit the spring at? Finally; how big (length) was the herring you were using, as I am planning a trip later this week.

I was shore fishing again this Sunday out there. Again - nothing (except for about a dozen other people fishing) from shore but did see a few boat hookups. Would have been an awesome day on the kayak as it was pretty tame water most of the day.

Thanks for the report! We got two hatchery coho at first light in front of the pink apartment. Anchoives on a 5 foot leader behind flashers at 15 feet is what we were using.
