Chucked it June 22nd
« on: June 21, 2004, 07:41:30 PM »

I'm heading out tomorrow into the chuck, I will most likely be moving around quite a bit from hole in the wall, right out to the QA, and then to the cap mouth for shallow mooching. I intend on hitting the slack tide at 7:45 tomorrow morning.

Anyone else been out lately ?

Tom at Berry's says they might be gotten off Canoe passage. I heard they are around Tswassen as well. Another salt I know says the gulf water is too warm and so they're coming around bottom of the island; who knows?

We experienced some slight technical difficulties...a flat battery in the boat, so I'll have to wait for another day.

Heading out tomorrow morning, hope that the boat holds up for us, we will be hitting similar areas as described before.

Should be a nice day out even if we don't get into anything.

Apparently I needed a little more luck... ;D but at least the boat started

We got half way to hole in the wall and stopped at a gas station for any reports, he told us that hole in the wall was dead, but they were hitting a few at the Bell Buoy and south to the T-10, we decided to head for the QA because we have had decent success there in the past. We think that we may have had a couple of hits but nothing actually took the hook except for a dogfish that we picked up on our last pass.

We were fishing riggers between 90 and 135 ft with anchovies and flashers. No salmon for us, but we think that one other boat had one on, didn't see it landed.

Would have been a better day had the weather been a little brighter.

I'm heading to Anglers West this evening for another one of those "get together" nights, anyone else attending ? I'm the kid wearing the "Queen Charlotte Lodge" het.
