This is the ultimate west coast, big river steelhead rod, namely the Thompson River and the Skeena River and tributaries. It is originally designed for mid and long bellies but has made a home in the Pacific Northwest as a big river skagit rod. Arm the rod with a 720 gr skagit line and it will blast out any sink tip and weighted fly combination.
The rod is great for the avid beginner two handed caster as it is very forgiving with a skagit line and equally excels at tossing mid-belly lines for the intermediate to advanced caster.
This rod has been lightly used for the odd trip to the Skeena and Thompson Rivers. Other than that it has been sitting in the closet keeping safe. Aside from the odd scratch it is in great shape.
