Before everybody rush out to the Capilano I was at the Cap first thing in the morning. Did not see one car in the parking lot nor did I see another fisherman. I was there close to 2 hours and fish various spots.  Consider the reports for what it's worth !

Let me be the first to say that I know Gumboots and he is a very seasoned fishermen. If he reported catching Cohos on the Cap today,

                        BELIEVE IT!

I put the reports in good faith , Am not asking you to rush out to the cap. If you are able  to get out and know where to go and how to fish it  , if the fish are there you will be rewarded as per my reports...

Great work gumboots, a very good report and its nice to hear of some excellent success there. I tried Sunday and had no luck but it is so true about that river, the right place at the right time. Congrat's.

Hey Gumboots. Glad to see you scooping all the fish.  JUST KIDDING!!  Must be nice to get out midweek. We should hook up some time and check it out. I used to fish the cap quite a bit. Give me a shout some time.

Glad you got some fish Gumboots.  Is there any Fly water on the cap or is it better fished with gear or bait.  Reason I ask is I bought a new fly rod and I am itching to try it out.  As I have only fished the cap a few times I don't want to waste my time searching for something that isn't there if you know what I mean.  Cheers.

Uncivil, the Capilano River is mainly a gear show. I've been fishing it most mornings between 4:30am - 6:30am, that seems to be the best times. If you still have my phone number, give me a call and I'll point you in the right direction ;D

Excellent.  I sort of figured it was mostly gear but you know how it is when you get a new toy!
