It was supposed to be sunny yesterday.. I hate the weatherman.

Here's what I could get, given the lighting and conditions of the day:

When up in Whitehorse, I had the chance to shoot a couple of Common Redpolls.  It was my first time seeing this lovely little bird. I'm glad I could get a decent shot!

Out at Reifel, the marsh wrens were building and calling like mad. Many of the Northern ducks were already flying away, but a few other regulars also made an appearance, resulting in an interesting walk.

We've had a pretty steady stream of Rufous Hummingbirds to our feeder this past month.  We definitely have a dominant male that has claimed the feeder and it's fun to watch him chase off the other males.  Here are a few shots of our smallest feathered visitors.

Nice!   I always wondered why the varied thrush is the only thrush who's song and call don't vary ;-)

Great shots Dragonspeed!

We had a few nice cold clear days in the last couple of weeks, so I got out and had a go at it - I love getting out when it's not raining around here.
