Sage fly rod lost on the Vedder on Saturday
« on: November 04, 2012, 01:03:42 AM »

I am posting this on behalf of a good friend of mine. He lost his Sage rod today on or near the dike by the Blue Heron nature reserve in Chilliwack (end of Sumas Prairie Rd).  He left it on the roof of his car and drove away. ::)

The model is VXP 896-4, and it is in a green Sage rod case. An Amundson reel holding a Rio multi-tip line was attached to the rod.
It's a four piece rod, almost brand new.

If you find it or hear of someone who found it, please reply on this thread or contact me by email: miloilic at yahoo dot com

Thank you all.

Had a look this morning Milo ... sorry no luck.  Best chance is the person who found it will attempt to turn it in.

Thank you Dave.
With you looking this morning, and Chris checking the area out last night, it is more than likely that it was scooped by someone earlier in the evening yesterday.
Hopefully the person will do the right thing.

Again, your help and Chris's is much appreciated.

We were out yesterday around 1 but parked by the train bridge and walked down to that Spot. Lots of people walking despite the rain and no one fishing that side so its probably some who was walking that picked it up. Who lost it?

Check with the Great Blue Heron Reserve, as quite often people will in lost items there if found near that area.

Yea he was with us in the morning then left left to that spot just before some more fish moved in. That honestly sucks! We were gonna park down there but chose not to last minute, would have probably found the rod. Oh well, he was cheating and was catching his fish on gear ahaha really hope he finds it  :)

Cheers

Placing a sign at the location today. I had some bad luck myself as someone took the Leaf Craft's sounder, 2 of her nets, 2 fly rods and a sturgeon pole, one piece. I had this all stored in a barn at a friend's place. Not sure when it happened. The LC is not to happy. :o
