A few cheap fly reels
« on: September 22, 2012, 03:54:26 PM »

I have a few fly reels I'm looking to get rid of.

I have two Pflueger Trion 1956 5/6wt reels. Couple usual scratches on one but both are in really nice shape. Lines are not included but will leave the backing on. $80 each or both for $150

Amundson TSX G2 7/8/9. Great shape, only used three times. No line or backing on it. Sold

Okuma integrity I 7/8. Lightly used no line or backin on it Sold

Also have a scientific angler mastery series textured Titan taper 7wt fly line. New in the box. $40

Any of these good for a beginner? I'm looking at putting together a set up for learning something that can handle some noobie damage.

They would all work great for you depending on what your chasing.

Are you looking for trout or salmon?

The two pflueger trions are well suited for trout

The okuma or amundson are better suited for bigger fish such as salmon.

yes,

the first two are the trions (front - back)

the third black reel is the okuma

fourth reel on the right is the Amundson

Any chance you will be heading west towards Burnaby, Vancouver and Richmond any time soon? I am eyeballing the Amundson as a spare to my buddies who tag along.

No plans on heading out that way, but if you decide to fish the Vedder at all, I'm only a few minutes down the road from the Vedder.
