Steveston Fishermans wharf
« on: August 15, 2012, 12:51:11 PM »

Hey all, would like to head down to the docks to pick up a couple of sox tonight, does anyone know roughly what time it shuts down there this time of year? I would like to get them tonight if I can but won't be able to get there until 6 or later.
Also who's got the best fish and chips down there I'll be bringing the mrs and don't venture into that neck of the woods very often.
Thanks in advance

Theres lots of fish and chips places on the wharf, ive only tryed the fast food one... not sure what its called but its kinda famous for its fish and chips. theres a fancier place I havnt tryed, it looks nice. If your planning on buying them fresh from the boats then i think your out of luck, ive only ever seen the boats on weekends. Actually, i dont even think sockeye are open for commercial fishing... might have to go to the store. I could be wrong.

For fish and chips in Steveston, there are two places where we prefer, either Pajo's or Dave's. Pajo's is more of a kiosk type outdoor dining setup, Dave's is a diner style restaurant.

If its a sunny day- Pajos on the warf is the best IMO.

Its something you can't really get anywhere else.

Alot of the vendors close up after 6, if you can, try and get there a little early- grab some prawns while your heading there too, big bag for 10 bucks!
