New fishing store in Burnaby
« on: July 17, 2012, 01:49:13 PM »

Some of you may already know this, but there is a new fishing store in Burnaby called "First Light Fishing and Tackle". You will also be quite familiar with the owner if you have shopped at Army and Navy in the past few years. The owner Steven Su opened his door a few weeks ago and currently carries all your needs for salt and freshwater fishing. What really makes his store quite unique is he also carries fishing poles for carp and other coarse fish. Many of you have asked about these poles and you no longer have to order them from Asia or Europe. He also sells powder bait for carp and coarse fish in different flavours. The store is conveniently located next to Deer Lake so you can grab some of these products and give it a go for those big golden ghosts. ;D

One reason for seeing a lot of Admunson is the  store may be waiting for their account to be finalized with the major suppliers.

Hey Rod,the store is located very near Burnaby lake. Deer lake is nearer Canada Way and somewhat behind Burnaby municipal hall.

The balsa floats look decent; may have to pay them a visit.

Thanks!

Rod - im sure the barcode scanner apps would work just fine, downside is that it might not translate the information  :'(

Think i might make a special trip for one of those "crap poles" though  ;)

Those poles are specifically designed for carp and other coarse fish, but they can be pretty awesome for float fishing with chironomids for trout and char at interior lakes. ;D

Lol they sell silver carp bait here ;D and that fishing line will easily break when attatched to a snap swivel. Lost some nice fish like that.

Does anyone else know how to tie those hooks that don't have eyes?
