We have seen some bigger fish roll in over the last handful off the eastern shoreline of Gabriola.  We have fished the Gulf Island’s a lot over the last handful of days!   Fishing has been pretty solid with some very nice fish up to 25 pounds on our Grady Whites.   Saturday was a little on the slow side, but on most other days we were hooking 5 to 10 fish per trip!   Not bad at all!

The fish have been primarily off Thrasher Rock on the ebb tide and off the Grande and Waterfall on the flood.  Spoons have definately been the ticket over there!  The amount of bait over there is very impressive now that the young of the year herring have hatched.  Small spoons from 2 to 3 inches have been key!

There have been some better reports of coho salmon along the West Vancouver shoreline, especially yesterday!  We just need the rain to stop and a bit of snow to melt off the local hills and we will be in business!  Hopefully soon we will be fishing 5 minutes from Granville Island or the Westin Bayshore!

Give us a call to book a full day trip to the Gulf Islands!  Fishing has been good and the fish are gettting bigger!

Tight lines
