De-stressing at Rice Lake
« on: June 25, 2012, 06:08:04 PM »

worked over 100 hours the last two weeks, trucking scrap metal all over the lower mainland. Burnt out.....

got a chance to get a line wet on sunday, i was not feeling very well, so burnt out....but still, Carpe Diem right?

cast spinners, spoons and bait fished on the spinning rod/reel, and chucked flies with the fly rod/reel afterwards. Nada, nothing, zilch..... ;D

damn fish were surfacing, slurping that fluffy white tree crap though.......

one fly fisher caught a 13" fat rainbow, kept it and checked the stomach contents of it.....NOTHING but that white fluff from the trees bloating its stomach...hmnmm....could explain the lack of bites lately, normally i do well on the fly and with the lures and bait....

checked out the Cap, bit busy and i did not have my PFD with me (i cannot swim, even at 40 Y/O...i sink like a stone) so i did not stick around.

all in all, got to go fishing, however briefly, and got to relax a bit from work.
