Custom CP pics
« on: January 27, 2012, 01:47:13 PM »

Hey, I'm getting a custom pin in the near future, wondering if anyone wants to put up a pic or two of their centerpin rod(s).

Dont plan to steal ideas, just get some.   :P  I'm going with the 10'6" rainshadow and perhaps the reflex coil guides.

Very cool. You might have noticed some of his techniques I stole for my casting rod build:

You build a nice rod. To bad this guy  is in USA and shipping and crossborder fee cost a fortune.

Maybe consider a factory rod. They aren't overworked in detail.

it wouldn't be so bad, the wood is a little overboard, considering the blank is a green colour. it just looks wrong. the burl and cork is done well otherwise.

Hey spoonman, nice rod.  What is the difference between your new  and your old Lamiglas rod when handling the fish ?

.....This one has more backbone in the bottom half....with a bit faster action(re-action)..seems to get a better hookset and the line maybe stays tighter when the headshake comes at you. Some more control on bigger fish in  heavier flows. The tip section has about the same flex and sensitivity as the Lami. Might have to fish the Lami again for a closer comparison.
