Restaurant on the Chilliwack River
« on: October 25, 2011, 01:33:17 PM »

Can anyone tell me if the Restaurant across from the Gun Club at the upper end of the Chilliwack R. is still open and if so do they still allow fishermen in with their waders on.  It has been a couple of years since I was last there.  Thanks for your help.

yes and yes.

Pointavista continues to be an angler-friendly venue, even under new management.
The menu has changed considerably though.

Best breakfast you could ask for. Everything is home made.

you can wear your waders but if you have metal cleats on your boots they would like you to take them off before coming in

Great coffee

Their french toast is by far the greatest I have ever eaten.   Makes getting skunked on the river ok.

I remember having steak and egg for $4.99 years back but too bad, that family is no longer there.

We were in there 3 weeks ago. The place seem a bit higher end now, lots of local artist painting on display.

Still good food.

Haven't stopped in there because I was in full gear, but now I will, even more so since the cook says it's great coffee

Last time I have been there was in early spring during steelhead season.
Good food and service.
Didn't know it's under new management.
