Freshwater licence for minors

I wanna take my lil sis out for some pinks, she'd 14 - does she need to buy a salmon tag? I think 16 and under is free for a licence...

Yes, no license is required for freshwater, but she will need a license and tag (both free) if she wants to fish tidal waters (Cates Park, mouth of Seymour, tidal Fraser etc.).

Salmon Tag is free for kids in fresh waters?

You may sport fish without any licence or stamp (but must abide by the regulations) if you are under 16 and a resident of BC.

Thanks Rodney, good to know for when my 5 year really gets interested in it.  So far he's really interested for about 10 minutes and then needs to do something else. This goes for fishing and watching a Canucks game live!

My son is 15 and he is quite tall for his age. So what have done was I photo-copy his birth certificate and have him carry in his fishing vest. This is for non tidal water only.
