R.I.P. - lost rod on Thompson
« on: August 11, 2011, 11:19:04 AM »

So it had to happen sooner or later, i lost my favourite rod floating on the Thompson on tuesday.

She lasted me over 10 yrs and was my all time favourite setup go to rod/reel. It dropped like a stone and sunk fast, probably drifted down a few dozen meters as flow was strong.

Sage RPL 690-4, Lamson LP2.

PLEASE PLEASE IF ANYONE RECOVERS THIS ROD - REWARD TO YOU. TBD!!

The exact GPS coordinates of where it drowned are - 50.755518,-120.979064

The google locaion is here near Walhachin: (right at the top of the small riffle directly below the centre of horseshoe shaped cliff at north side of river)
