I went down to the fraser dock and saw a few guys fishing.I was showing them how to rig up right when a very big and i mean a VERY big sturg rose about 5 from me :P Lots of fish around just have to keep trying because this high water is keeping them on the move.

The high water has actually been really good for sturgeon fishing this year. the fish have been coming in close to shore during high tide to feed so you don't have to cast very far. I've been fishing the Langley area and have had fairly good luck only being skunked twice in about 10-12 trips. I've even caught a couple little ones within 10 feet from shore one while I was retrieving my line. Didn't know they chased down bait...

was out again today and they were slamming my ollies. landed 3 a 3-1/2', 4' and a 5-1/2' and lost a couple more. Was the best day I've had out there this year.

I was fishing from 9am to well after high tide and a few kms east of you  ;). I usually have my best luck right around high tide, at least when fishing closer to shore. During low tide you might have to get it out a little further.

I have gotten 2 smaller 2.5-3 feet sturgeon on North Arm of lower Fraser.

1) Train bridge off of Richmond side of river road north of 8 Road.

2) 7 Road Pier

All using Blood worms, each time on highest possible tide.
