Blue Grouse
« on: July 12, 2011, 07:41:27 PM »

Took a drive up Chilliwack River Valley today and came upon a mother blue grouse with a few chicks. Shot some video and if you listen closely you will hear her talking to her chicks, telling them to stay hidden. She had lured me away from where they were hiding so I was not going to step on them while moving around filming her. Also got a couple of photo's of 2 chicks in the grass but they did not turn out well.

Thanks for sharing Chris.   If you turn up the volume and listen very closely you can also hear the mosquitos!   ;D

Hey Chris you must be very high up the mountain to see them. It good to you saw some grouse chicks despite this cold and wet spring summer.
