Devils Lake
« on: October 28, 2010, 08:54:06 PM »

If you travel almost to the top end of Texas Creek where it reaches the pass into the Stein River Valley there is a trail that goes steeply up to the east and provides access to high alpine country leading to Siwhe Mountain that dominates the landscape north west of Lytton.   From the top of the first ridge you look down into an alpine lake called Devils Lake that looks as though it should be large enough to support fish  if they had been stocked at some time.

Does anybody know if it has fish?

I believe the lake is called molybdenite lake on fish wizard and there are no records of it being stocked.

Molybdenite Lake is the other side of Texas creek, to the west.  This is east over the ridge into the Fraser Canyon..

Devils Lake flows out to Siwhe Creek.  It was stocked in the early 1980's but not since.  Fish size ave. at 8 to 12", not very big.
