Who carries Hodgman waders?
« on: October 21, 2010, 08:11:48 PM »

As the title says, which local shops (lower mainland) carry Hodgman waders?  I'm trying to find a decent pair of waders while remaining budget concious.

I completely understand the 'you get what you pay for' mentality, but I jsut don't get out frequently enough to justify spending $3-400.

Thanks in advance!

I want to order some price sensitive waders myself, but from what I hear, its all about getting ones that fit you properly so as to avoid rubbing and the leaks that come with it.

Are the size charts on Cabelas accurate?  The Hedgman seem like a good bargain.

Army and Navy Downtown just got a few new pairs of Hodgemans' in last week.  I have been wearing mine for about a year of VERY hard fishing.  No leaks from the knees down, but the 3 layer thighs sprung about 50 pin hole leaks over the past year.  Nothing that a few tubes of aqua seal can't fix, but as always you get what you pay for.  For 3-400$, go Simms G3's all the way.....

Great - thanks guys.  I checked out A&N in New West to no avail, but I guess I'll need to go downtown.  That's definitely a great deal on Reddington's!

how well do those Redington CPX fit as compared to their size chart?

Also I went through the order process and saw it was UPS doing the shipping, do they try to stiff you with brokerage fees or something stupid like that when it arrives? I've delt with UPS in the past and been very unsatisfied with their service. Or will they simply just leave the package at my door if im not home which is okay with me.

I've shipped lots of stuff by USPS and I've always been happy.  Shipping a reel and spool from California to Van cost me only $8 IIRC.  UPS was much more.

USPS is great so is Canada Post or Fedex...or Royal Mail from the UK.

basically anything but UPS. UPS is the worst out there, avoid them at all costs imo
